In a move that would make Bruce Wayne proud, the AVG Batmobile Tribute roars out of the shadows as a street-legal blend of Gotham grit and German precision. Built upon a Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG, this one-off creation channels the brooding spirit of Batman’s iconic ride while preserving the mechanical soul of a high-performance AMG coupe. It’s less of a movie prop and more of a real-world vigilante’s dream; honed by equal parts muscle, mystery, and meticulous craftsmanship.

The donor car already had serious credentials. Powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, the second-generation CL55 AMG was tuned by Danish specialist Kleemann to deliver around 600 horsepower. From there, the transformation became an international effort involving AVG Autos in Germany and Specautotuning in Ukraine, both contributing to the complete redesign of the body and systems. The result is a Batmobile that looks like it just rolled out of Wayne Manor’s underground garage.

Visually, the Batmobile Tribute is a pure theatrics saga. Its matte-black composite body features floating wheel arches, dual rear wings, and a network of animated LED lights that bring a futuristic glow to its dark aesthetic. The car sits on enormous wheels that are 400/55-22.5 at the front and 500/60-22.5 at the rear. Wrapped around custom hubs, these boots look ready for Gotham’s roughest backstreets. Details such as vented hoods, faux turrets, and angular armor-like panels give it a cinematic presence, while the underpinnings remain authentically Mercedes.

The Batmobile Tribute packs an array of standout details like floating wheel fenders, twin simulated machine-gun turrets, flip-up doors with integrated windshields, dual rear spoilers, a twin-exhaust setup, and a rear plate proudly emblazoned with “GOTHAM.”

Inside, the cabin mixes AMG luxury with comic-book audacity. Original leather elements are retained but reimagined with carbon-fiber bucket seats, racing harnesses, and digital display screens that add to its high-tech vibe. Analog gauges are recalibrated to a top speed of 320 km/h, hinting that the car’s performance matches its menacing appearance.

The project reportedly cost more than €250,000 ($2,90,500), excluding the base car, which had logged roughly 150,000 km before its reinvention. A third-party inspection was completed in late 2024, ensuring that the finished machine isn’t just for show. In December 2024, it went up for auction through SBX Cars, with bidding starting around $18,000 is a surprisingly modest opening for something so unique.

Whether seen as a tribute to Bruce Wayne’s legendary crime-fighting fleet or as a bold art piece on wheels, the AVG Batmobile Tribute embodies the crossover between fantasy and engineering. It proves that with enough imagination and horsepower, even an ordinary luxury coupe can be reborn as Gotham’s ultimate street machine.

We’ve seen Shrek Crocs in the past (and tbh they’re hideously brilliant), but nothing really passes the vibe check as much as these Batmobile Crocs. Modeled to look like the iconic vehicle from the 1989 Batman movie starring Michael Keaton, these shoes come with all the bells and whistles, including a graphic on the front showcasing the hood, a set of fins near the ankle, wheel-shaped details around the heel, and the best part, actual windshields on the front! Yes, you’ve got headlights and taillights too, along with the jet engine intake on the frontal tip and an afterburner on the back. Sure, Crocs have a reputation of being considered a fashion faux pas, but this one pulls all the stops. Oh, did I also mention it comes with its own custom Batman Jibbitz charms that you can fasten into the holes on the top??

Wear these shoes and you’re bound to get a few stares – some of awe and others of contempt. If you can look past the latter, the ‘Crocs Batman Batmobile Classic Clogs’ are quite the wearable memorabilia. Announced on the 45th anniversary of the Batman movie, these shoes perfectly capture the unique design of the Batmobile from all those years ago, and I assume it has to do with the clog’s inherent bulbous, curvy shape.

The design is absolutely filled with easter-eggs that make it look almost exactly like the 1989 Batmobile. The front of the clog mimics the 1989 Batmobile’s turbine intake, complete with mechanical lines and even the tiny signal lights from the car. You’ll find the Batmobile’s classic wings molded into the heel straps, adding a bit of flair to an otherwise laid-back piece of footwear. The side profile features carvings that resemble the Batmobile’s rear wheels and side air intakes. It’s clear the design team put thought into translating one of the most iconic vehicles in comic book history onto a clog.

Quite like the Batmobile itself, these shoes are built for everything. As Crocs are known for, they’re lightweight, flexible, and come equipped with their signature ventilation ports to keep your feet cool and dry. This is a crucial feature for anyone who’s spent time in Crocs—they can handle water, mud, or any unexpected elements, just as Batman handles Gotham’s criminal underworld. The pivoting heel straps are a practical addition, keeping the clogs secure on your feet whether you’re on a casual stroll or, hypothetically, chasing after a villain. The Crocs material also makes these shoes easy to clean, which is always a plus if you’re planning to wear them in all kinds of weather… and get this, all Crocs are also flame-retardant, which is definitely a plus too!

In true Crocs fashion, the Batman Batmobile Classic Clog comes with special Jibbitz charms. The Batman x Crocs Classic Clog “Batmobile” will be priced at just $69.99 when it launches later this September. A kids’ version will also be available for $54.99 upon release.
