An Abandoned Water Tower From The 1960s Was Converted Into A Brutalist & Luxurious Holiday Home

This truly exciting and ambitious project is an initiative to repurpose an abandoned brutalist water tower. Over four years, a dedicated family collaborated to transform the 1960s relic into an sophisticated vacation getaway. The interior is artfully crafted to fit the tower’s circular architecture while offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It stands at a maximum height of 75 feet (23 meters) and was originally designed by Edmund Percey in 1964. It was built to store 50,000 gallons (almost 230,000 liters) of fresh water for the nearby villages of Tonwell and Sacombe Park in Hertfordshire, England.

Designer: Matthew Grey

The transformation was handled by industrial designer Matthew Grey, with the support of his wife Ali and their children. The project was selected for Airbnb’s OMG! Fund. The family put together 10,500 lb of windows, 7.38 US tons of plasterboard, and 1.1 miles of metal framing to convert the reinforced concrete structure into a home, not to mention a whole bunch of blood, sweat, and tears.

“First we cut concrete,” said Grey. “Then we scaffolded to the first story and built the floors above, off the floors below. We purchased a 21-m [68-ft] scissor lift. We fixed the roof and renovated the superstructure. We installed [structural] steels, cut more holes and demolished. We ran the services. We built a 20-m [65-ft] staircase, by hand, step by step; then we built another. We lifted everything, first on ladders, then on ropes, then on a hoist, and finally on the scissor lift; loading everything we could, as soon as we could, and then we closed up.”

The interior of the water tower is thoughtfully arranged to make the most of its distinctive structure. The lower floors function as practical living spaces, including a home office, storage area, laundry room, reception area, and bedrooms, all designed to utilize the available space efficiently. As you move up the tower, you reach the star attraction of the conversion – an expansive open-plan living area that combines the kitchen, dining, and living spaces on the fourth floor, where the old water tank once resided. This level features generous floor-to-ceiling glazing, which elegantly frames the panoramic 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape.

The decor throughout the tower is tasteful and sophisticated, skillfully blending original period Danish and British furniture with modern conveniences such as a projector TV and a high-quality stereo system. The tower includes energy-efficient features like triple glazing to enhance insulation, a Daikin air filter, a heat pump, underfloor heating, and a robust “weapons-grade” fire system that prioritizes safety. These modern amenities combined with the aesthetic charm of classic furnishings, create a unique living experience that offers some history with contemporary luxury.

One glaring issue we can notice in the building is that the spiral stairs aren’t suitable for someone with disabilities. However, the designer is exploring a custom elevator system to address this issue in the future.

Richard Mille RM 16-02 Automatic Winding Extraflat is brutalist take on vibrant watchmaking

Richard Mille is generally known for fascinating timepieces that are apparently robust and intriguingly complex. This time, to kickstart the new year, the brand has launched a brutalist architecture-inspired RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat, which is a modern take on the RM 016, Richard Mille’s first rectangular automatic watch, an embodiment of ergonomic perfection and minimalist aesthetics.

If there is one architectural style that has influenced watchmaking more than others, it has to be Brutalism. Since its buildup in the 1950s, the brutalist style – characterized by blocky forms and geometric shapes – has found its way into the best of watches including a Patek Philippe, a Vacheron Constantin, and even a Richard Mille. The RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat reflects on the architectural style, while staying aesthetically within the RM’s signature style: so apparently what we get is a rectangular-shaped, skeletonized watch that resembles Ariadne’s thread, by an intricate maze on the dial.

Designer: Richard Mille

Even though the fit and ideology of the original RM 16-02 are upheld, the new iteration of the watch excels in its interpretation of the rectangular shape and the complex, skeletonized dial that screams with brutalist boldness. Richard Mille has made the new RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat available in two vibrant colorways:  Terracotta Quartz TPT and Titanium Creamy White Quartz TPT.

Made in about 10 percent smaller size than the original RM016, the new RM 16-02 measures 36mm in width, 45.64mm in length, and 9.5mm thick. Retaining its curvature reminiscent of Richard Mille watches, it comprises a full-grade 5 titanium case in the first model, while it’s the interesting new Terracotta Quartz TPT model that catches the eye, not only because it’s a first for RM but also for its process of achieving the color. The unique color is achieved by infusing 45 microns of thin silica threads in a colored matrix and then subjecting them to high temperature and pressure.

Of course, both the color variants of the 2025 RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat captivate with their aesthetics and rectangular cases, their story is not limited to appearance. The watches are powered by a new in-house CRMA9 calibre skeletonized automatic movement with hours and minute hands on the dial. The movement measuring 26mm wide, 31.25mm long, and 4.12mm thick – specially made for the watch – helps maintain the RM 16-02’s slim profile and provides it with up to 50 hours of power reserve. Richard Mille watches, we have come to understand, don’t sell for affordable rates. Somehow the company has tried to keep the RM 16-02 watches within the range of affordability for most collectors. To ensure that, RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat Terracotta Quartz TPT is priced at $156,000 and Titanium White Quartz TPT is retailing for $134,000.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Dragon: A Tribute to the Lunar Year of the Dragon and a Century of Excellence

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars introduced two bespoke Phantom Dragon editions, marking the close of the lunar Year of the Dragon and the beginning of the Phantom’s 100th year. These exclusive commissions combine cultural symbolism with the detailed craftsmanship of Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Collective, creating a design narrative that honors Chinese traditions within a global luxury framework.

Designer: Rolls-Royce

A Contemporary Interpretation of the Dragon

The Phantom Dragon editions represent a modern reimagining of one of the most powerful symbols in Chinese culture. The dragon, emblematic of strength, prosperity, and wisdom, is intricately integrated into the design language of these vehicles. This integration extends across interior elements, exterior aesthetics, and bespoke details, creating a seamless fusion of tradition and modernity.

Phantom Dragon – United States Edition

The United States edition, available exclusively through Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Orange County, exudes subtle sophistication. The dragon motif is skillfully embroidered onto all four headrests using Phoenix Red stitching, contrasting beautifully with the available Black or White leather upholstery. Each dragon requires precise alignment of 5,449 individual stitches, taking over 20 hours to complete. This intricate process reflects the painstaking attention to detail that defines Rolls-Royce’s approach to bespoke design.

The vehicle’s rear Piano Black picnic tables feature a minimalist stainless steel inlay of the Chinese zodiac calendar. The Bespoke Starlight Headliner, a hallmark of Rolls-Royce, depicts an abstract dragon motif created with 677 individually placed fiber-optic lights. This artistic ceiling feature took artisans over three months to develop, adding an ethereal touch to the cabin’s ambiance.

On the exterior, a Phoenix Red coachline incorporating a subtle dragon motif runs along the vehicle’s side, oriented to face East—symbolizing the direction of the rising sun. The dynamic Cherry Red and Crystal finish color palette further accentuates the car’s elegant silhouette, underscoring its bespoke identity.

Phantom Dragon – China Edition

For the China-exclusive edition, Rolls-Royce draws inspiration from the ancient legend of two dragons safeguarding a pearl. This cultural motif is reflected in the design elements, weaving a narrative of protection and prosperity. The rear picnic tables feature a stainless steel inlay of the Chinese zodiac calendar, with the dragon highlighted in gold. Traditional Chinese calligraphy further enriches the design, marking each year’s corresponding animal.

The centerpiece of this edition’s interior is the Gallery, an intricate marquetry composition crafted from 297 individual pieces of wood. It depicts two dragons amidst swirling clouds guarding a pearl. This elaborate work required three months of dedicated craftsmanship, underscoring Rolls-Royce’s mastery of detail.

The Starlight Headliner in the China edition features 768 red and 576 white fiber-optic lights, creating a luminous abstract of two dragons intertwined. Complemented by 24 shooting stars, this celestial display celebrates heritage and is a testament to Rolls-Royce’s innovative design capabilities.

Honoring the Centenary of Phantom

These bespoke commissions mark a milestone in Rolls-Royce’s storied history, showcasing the dragon’s artistry and symbolism. The Phantom Dragon editions embody the artistry, heritage, and forward-thinking vision that define the Phantom’s legacy. By combining traditional motifs with cutting-edge craftsmanship, Rolls-Royce invites its discerning clientele to experience a piece of automotive history imbued with cultural depth.

Rebecca Davies, Bespoke Designer at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, explains, “Our goal was to create a modern interpretation capturing the dragon’s essence as a symbol of power. The design conveys motion and energy, expressing the dragon as a driving force with depth and complexity reflecting its commanding presence.”

As Rolls-Royce begins its centenary celebrations, the Phantom Dragon editions stand as an extraordinary testament to the brand’s unwavering dedication to craftsmanship and cultural storytelling. These vehicles not only honor the past but also set a bold precedent for the next chapter of Phantom’s illustrious journey.

Marble kitchen counters and tabletops will charge your phone while you work

Wireless charging didn’t just free us from the tyranny of tangles, it also opened the doors to creative charger designs. Especially with the addition of magnetic force, chargers no longer needed to be stuck to walls or power outlets or even lie flat on charging beds. Of course, these still required the presence of often very conspicuous chargers that may look out of place in some situations, no matter how aesthetic they might be.

Some furniture makers have started integrating wireless charging into their designs but often end up making the areas too obvious, clashing with the otherwise minimalist and luxurious design of the product. This wireless charging innovation, in contrast, is almost completely invisible, save for a very subtle and elegant halo of light enclosing the charging area. In fact, this technology can be integrated into an equally innovative and sustainable stone-like material that transforms kitchen countertops and luxurious tables into futuristic charging spaces for phones.

Designer: Cosentino x FreePower

Imagine going to a bar and never having to worry about your phone dying. Simply put your mobile device down in front of you and have it charge while you sip your martini and make connections with the people around you. Or how about placing your phone on the kitchen table while you prepare dinner and listen to your favorite podcast, confident that your phone’s battery will be full by the time you’re done? All of this without a single wireless charger that stands out like a sore thumb.

FreePower’s technology was already making these James Bond-like scenarios a reality by integrating the wireless charging components in places you’d least expect them, specifically materials like marble and stone that you’d hardly expect to have embedded chargers. Its partnership with Cosentino, however, adds another twist to that dreamy technology, making it available on materials that are both luxurious and sustainable.

Cosentino’s Silestone, for example, is a low-silica mineral surface that uses recycled materials to reduce the amount of crystallized silica used. Dekton, on the other hand, mimics the appearance and texture of porcelain while using carbon-neutral materials that also help improve its durability and scratch resistance. Both materials are also produced using sustainable processes that don’t sacrifice the planet’s health in the name of luxury.

The collaboration between FreePower and Cosentino opens a new avenue for integrating convenient wireless charging spaces into luxurious but sustainable surfaces that can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, bars, conference tables, and even desks. The only drawback to this ideal situation is that these pieces of furniture have to be custom made, as retrofitting existing counters and tabletops is not yet possible at this time.

Audi Unveils New EV Brand in China Without Its Iconic Four-Ring Logo

A car’s identity can be attributed to two things – its overall design language, and the logo that sits on the front and back of it, allowing you to identify its ‘marque’. For decades, Audi’s identity could be traced back to the iconic four-ring logo on its front, coupled with its sporty-aggressive design language. Times, however, change, and Audi is embracing that change too. The company just unveiled its first China-specific EV brand in collaboration with SAIC Motor. Dubbed just ‘AUDI’, the brand eschews the four-ring logo for four capital letters, tying both to its German name as well as the way its partner’s name ‘SAIC’ is spelled.

The new brand was announced alongside an EV concept, built with a fast-charging 800V powertrain and two 760HP motors supplying energy to the car’s AWD platform. The car accelerates 0-60mph in just 3.6 seconds, despite its large frame, while, a 100 kWh gives the car a range of 434 miles on a full charge. Exclusive just to the Chinese market, the car is looking at an August 2025 launch, with a price of $42,000 USD.

Designer: Audi

Positioned as a fully electric Sportback, the AUDI E boasts a significant presence on the road with its dimensions: 4,870 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height, with a generous 2,950 mm wheelbase. Two electric motors on the front and rear axles generate a thrilling 570 kW and 800 Nm of torque, ensuring the iconic quattro four-wheel drive feel. Performance enthusiasts will appreciate the AUDI E’s 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.6 seconds, and the brand promises that it drives with all the comfort and dynamism that fans expect from Audi.

The vehicles will be built on an Advanced Digitized Platform, a joint effort with SAIC that combines Audi’s premium design and engineering with SAIC’s technological prowess and understanding of Chinese consumer needs. This platform underpins the upcoming lineup, which will hit the market starting in 2025, targeting mid-size to full-size segments. With this collaboration, Audi’s commitment goes beyond creating cars—it’s about creating a distinctly localized driving experience that merges Audi’s luxury touch with China’s fast-paced digital landscape.

At the core of the AUDI E is a 100-kWh battery that supports a range of 700 km (434 miles) on a full charge, measured according to CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) standards. This EV comes equipped with an innovative 800-volt architecture, making charging speeds incredibly fast. Imagine gaining more than 370 km (230 miles) of range in just 10 minutes at a rapid charging station. For users in China, these speeds add significant convenience to daily commutes and long journeys, transforming how they experience charging times and range anxiety.

Stepping inside, the cabin introduces a level of interactivity that blurs the line between digital and physical. The AUDI Assistant, an AI-driven avatar, takes center stage, handling touch and voice controls with effortless finesse. This assistant doesn’t just respond; it interacts with an intuitive design that adds a layer of emotion and feedback, creating an experience that feels like a dialogue. Meanwhile, seamless smartphone integration enables users to bring their digital lives on the road with ease, a must-have for today’s hyper-connected audience.

While the new brand aligns itself with Audi’s established reputation, the rebranding feels like a conscious step into a future defined by both global standards and local resonance. The new, ring-less identity signals Audi’s awareness of the unique needs and preferences of Chinese drivers, opening up a pathway to engage a younger, tech-driven customer base. Personally, the four-ring identity had a unique iconic appeal that transcended language barriers. With the new logo in English, it’s difficult to say if it’ll imprint on the Chinese audience, although I’m sure the German marque’s done a fair bit of planning in advance!

50 Shades of Blue: The Iridescent Kaleidoscope Dial

The BR-X5’s dial showcases an evolving iridescent effect that shifts between blue, green, violet, and yellow, achieved through advanced PVD treatments. The polished, rhodium-plated indices and skeletonized hands, filled with Super-LumiNova, provide optimal visibility.

The sapphire case back reveals the intricate workings of the caliber and demonstrates the brand’s technical excellence.

Technological Brilliance and Comfort

Housed in a 41mm satin-finished and polished steel case, the BR-X5 measures 12.80mm in thickness. It offers a water resistance of up to 100 meters, making it a resilient companion for any adventure. The case design, typical of Bell & Ross’s robust style, is further enhanced by a crown guard and a screw-down crown, emphasizing durability without compromising elegance.

The sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures clarity from all angles, offering an unimpeded view of the dial’s vibrant color play. The strap options—the satin-finished steel bracelet or white rubber strap—allow the wearer to easily adapt the watch to both formal occasions and more casual, active outings. The rubber strap suggests a more casual, sporty utility, while the steel bracelet adds a polished, sophisticated edge, underscoring the versatility of the BR-X5.

Comfort is a key aspect of the BR-X5 Iridescent’s design. The bracelet’s ergonomic integration and the case’s smooth lines make it easy to wear throughout the day. The folding buckle ensures a secure fit, while the lightweight materials used in the construction add to the overall comfort, making it ideal for extended wear.

The Ideal Companion for the Modern Enthusiast

The BR-X5 Iridescent is a versatile watch that combines technical sophistication and bold aesthetics. Its futuristic dial, inspired by aeronautical technology, captures the essence of modern luxury for those who appreciate high-tech elegance in their everyday carry. Available exclusively through Bell & Ross boutiques and e-boutiques, this watch represents a blend of cutting-edge materials, a unique visual experience, and robust engineering—all wrapped in a design that pays homage to Bell & Ross’s signature style.

Whether paired with a satin-finished steel bracelet or the white rubber strap, the BR-X5 Iridescent makes a bold and refined statement on the wrist. Its craftsmanship and futuristic aesthetic make it an ideal choice for modern enthusiasts who value innovation and tradition in their timepieces.

The “Low” button is a subtle yet powerful feature, unleashing a more pronounced exhaust note and delivering a more engaging drive.

Alfa Romeo Ascension GT Concept: A Bold Fusion of Heritage and Future-Driven Design

The Alfa Romeo Ascension GT concept by Ugur Sahin Design doesn’t just sit on four wheels—it prowls, waiting for the moment it can spring to life. There’s a presence about this car, a sense that it’s constantly in motion even when it’s at a standstill. With a form that seems to defy the rules of traditional automotive design, it’s a machine sculpted to evoke speed, aggression, and elegance all in one glance. From the sleekness of its low-slung silhouette to the carefully crafted lines that sweep over its body like a gust of wind, the Ascension GT is not merely designed; it’s engineered to make a statement. This car isn’t about following trends or catering to mainstream tastes. It’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible when innovation and heritage collide, creating a machine that commands attention as much as it commands the road.

Designer: Ugur Sahin Design

The first thing that grabs your attention is the way the Ascension GT’s profile hugs the pavement, with a stance so aggressive it feels like the car is ready to leap forward. Alfa Romeo’s iconic V-shaped grille is unmistakable, but here, it’s been reimagined, framed by headlights so sleek and predatory they look like they’re about to cut through the night. These aren’t mere design flourishes; every element of the car’s front end is built with purpose. The broad air intakes aren’t just for show—they’re functional, feeding air to the engine while reducing drag and cooling critical components. And then there’s the front splitter, bold and assertive, visually lowering the car to enhance its aerodynamics, making sure it hugs the road with precision even at breakneck speeds. The Ascension GT isn’t just a design statement—it’s a masterclass in balancing form and function.

As you move around the car, the attention to detail becomes even more striking. The hood, for instance, isn’t just a smooth, unbroken surface; it’s punctuated by subtle, well-placed vents that speak to the power lying beneath. These aren’t just aesthetic choices—they’re carefully engineered features designed to optimize airflow, cooling the high-performance engine while adding an aggressive edge to the car’s persona. The large, black, multi-spoke wheels take inspiration from Alfa Romeo’s rich racing history, providing a visual connection to the brand’s legacy of high-speed thrills. But they’re not just a nostalgic nod—they’re designed to amplify the car’s performance, giving it the stability and control needed when pushing the car to its limits. At the rear, the wide spoiler and integrated diffuser ensure that this car doesn’t just look fast; it delivers. Every feature, from the sweeping lines to the aerodynamic components, works in harmony to create a machine that’s both visually stunning and mechanically superior.

Underneath its sculpted exterior, the Ascension GT is a machine engineered for enthusiasts who demand more than just speed. It’s about the experience — from the roar of the engine to the way the car grips the asphalt at high speeds. This is a vehicle designed to stir emotions, one that captures the essence of driving at its purest form. The large wheels, aerodynamic features, and attention to weight distribution all work together to create a car that is as thrilling to drive as it is to behold.

The name Ascension GT perfectly encapsulates its design philosophy. “Ascension” signifies a leap forward, an elevation in design, performance, and driving experience. It speaks to Alfa Romeo’s vision for the future, where every new model reaches new heights, not just in terms of performance but in the entire driving experience. The “GT” badge, traditionally associated with grand touring cars, assures comfort and luxury without sacrificing the blistering speed and precision that Alfa Romeo enthusiasts expect. This car is about moving forward, taking Alfa Romeo’s legacy to the next level without ever losing sight of its roots.

I Sat In The $15,000 Robotic Massage Chair at IFA 2024: A Luxurious Hands-On with the Bodyfriend Quantum

The beauty of my job lies in not just discovering the new and innovative, it’s also in discovering the bizarrely futuristic… and the Bodyfriend Quantum robotic massage chair firmly fits the latter. Spotted at IFA 2024, the chair feels less like your average massage lounger and more like a Gundam suit with a touch of luxury. Nestled in its sleek, premium leather, with built-in Bang & Olufsen speakers, the Quantum manages to blur the line between high-tech gadgetry and a luxury spa. I didn’t think a chair could make me feel this pampered, but after spending some time in it, I’m convinced—this isn’t just a massage chair; it’s a full-fledged bodygasm.

Sinking into the Quantum was like stepping into a different world, where every detail is designed to make you feel like royalty. But what really sets it apart isn’t just the leather or the fancy tech specs—it’s the attention to detail in how it delivers its massages, all while serenading you with crystal-clear audio from none other than Bang & Olufsen. Let’s just say, it’s not your average chair.

Revolutionary Design Meets Functional Innovation

At the core of the Bodyfriend Quantum is its Robo Walking Technology—a first in the industry—that gives each leg its own independent movement. And trust me, it’s not a gimmick. Sitting in the chair, you immediately notice how much more natural and personalized the massage feels, especially around the lower body. My desk-hunched spine and worn-out calves felt like they were getting precisely the kind of treatment they needed. It’s as if the chair knew what my body was asking for before I did.

This independent leg movement is more than just for show—it makes a real difference in how effectively the chair targets specific muscles. Whether you’re using it for muscle recovery or just as a fancy way to unwind after a long day, the Quantum feels like it’s been engineered with a deeper understanding of how to work the human body. After just a few minutes in it, my lower back and legs were thanking me.

Immersive Sound Through Bang & Olufsen Partnership

The partnership with Bang & Olufsen might raise a few eyebrows. Do you really need top-tier audio in a massage chair? After my experience, the answer is a pretty confident yes. The moment I leaned back and let the chair do its thing, the speakers came to life, filling the space around me with rich, immersive sound. Whether you’re into lo-fi beats, classical symphonies, or nature sounds, the high-quality audio adds a layer of relaxation that most massage chairs simply don’t offer.

It doesn’t feel like a bolted-on extra. The audio blends seamlessly with the massage itself, so whether you’re zoning out to music or catching up on your favorite podcast, the chair’s sonic experience pulls you deeper into that calm state. Benny Kang of Bodyfriend mentioned that the speakers can be used to play binaural beats too, stimulating the mind along with your body.

Precision Massage and Intuitive Control

Bodyfriend has packed a lot of tech into this chair, but it’s the execution that stands out. The XD-PRO thermal module and Finger Moving Massage Module work together to give an eerily human-like touch. It doesn’t just knead your muscles in broad strokes; instead, the chair moves in subtle, calculated increments—80 movements in 1.25mm steps to be exact. For someone who carries a lot of tension in their shoulders and lower back, it’s like having a physical therapist who knows exactly where to focus.

Then there are the finer touches—literally. With 81 air pockets wrapping your body and heat therapy zones that bring the warmth up to a balmy 50°C, the Quantum creates an environment that’s both soothing and deeply therapeutic. The heat applied to the back, calves, and soles not only relaxes muscles but also feels fantastic on sore feet, thanks to its three-step foot roller system. It’s an experience that goes beyond simple pampering.

A Touch of Luxury (and Functionality)

The 10-inch Full HD tablet mounted on the chair is intuitive and easy to navigate. There’s no fumbling with a million buttons—you can switch modes, adjust settings, or dive into the chair’s “High-End Healthcare Massage Mode” with just a tap. If you’re someone who likes control over your relaxation routine, this tablet makes it easy to fine-tune everything from intensity to heat levels without pulling you out of the experience.

It’s also worth noting that the Quantum is clearly built for longevity. The leather is buttery-soft yet durable, and the entire build feels solid and well-constructed—something you’d expect for the price tag this chair is likely to carry. But for anyone serious about integrating relaxation or recovery into their daily routine, it’s hard to imagine anything better.

A Luxurious Experience for the Wellness-Focused

The Bodyfriend Quantum is positioned for those who are serious about wellness and ready to invest in high-end healthcare technology. Its meticulous design, advanced massage features, and thoughtful additions like Bang & Olufsen speakers make it a standout product in the luxury massage chair market. While it caters to those with specific muscle stimulation needs—such as the elderly or individuals recovering from injury—it also serves as an indulgent piece of tech for anyone looking to upgrade their relaxation routine.

After my session with the Quantum, I can safely say it delivers on its promise of providing a unique massage experience. I hate to be the cliche, but I’m the millennial with lower back pain (I lugged a laptop bag around through IFA 2024), so even a 5-minute cycle with the Quantum felt like absolute bliss. Sure, it may come with a premium price, but for those looking to pamper themselves or take better care of their health, the Bodyfriend Quantum is like Chandler and Joey’s Barca-lounger on absolute steroids. You’ll probably spend hours in the chair without realizing it.

Now, if only it came with a built-in coffee machine.

Bang & Olufsen’s $1549 Beoplay H100 Headphones make the AirPods Max and Dyson OnTrac look ’mid’

You thought a $500 pair of wireless headphones was expensive, think again. Bang & Olufsen just introduced the Beoplay H100, their flagship headphones with a design that gives legacy tech brands a run for their money. The Beoplay H100 comes with a gorgeously premium design, with lambskin leather and hardened glass parts, along with a rotating crown surrounding the earpiece that feels a lot like something Apple should have done with the AirPods Max. The only catch, is that the Beoplay H100 has a $1549 price tag – something which might deter most people, but will attract the kind of moneyed audiophiles who trust B&O with building their audio gear – not some vacuum-cleaner brand.

Designer: Bang & Olufsen

The Beoplay H100’s design evokes the same sense of iconic minimalism as its other high-end speakers. With a focus on using premium materials, including an aluminum outer shell, lambskin leather accents, and hardened glass, these headphones prioritize both comfort and durability. The glass touch interface is not only functional but visually striking, offering a tactile experience that complements the device’s overall aesthetic. Bang & Olufsen has maintained their signature Scandinavian design sensibility by offering the H100 in three distinct colorways—Infinite Black, Hourglass Sand, and Sunset Apricot—each of which adds its own twist to the luxury audio market. Infinite Black, for instance, pays homage to Bang & Olufsen’s classic design aesthetic, while Hourglass Sand and Sunset Apricot bring in lighter tones that feel sophisticated yet understated.

For that price, you’d expect audio mastery… something that B&O takes pretty seriously. Inside the sleek aluminum grills are 40mm custom-made titanium drivers, tuned by Bang & Olufsen’s own tonmeisters, offering a Hi-Res sound experience that reaches up to 96 kHz / 24 bits.. This technical backbone ensures that whether you’re listening to complex musical compositions or handling a phone call in a crowded environment, the sound remains crisp, clear, and dynamic. The integration of Bang & Olufsen’s EarSense™ technology adds a layer of personalization, dynamically adapting the sound output to the wearer’s unique fit. This real-time adjustment is coupled with advanced noise cancellation, supported by 10 studio-grade microphones. This level of precision allows users to switch seamlessly between an immersive audio experience and the surrounding world through a simple gesture.

The H100 also supports Dolby Atmos for a state-of-the-art spatial audio experience, further enhanced by head-tracking technology. Whether you’re immersing yourself in a cinematic soundtrack or a live concert recording, the H100 promises to deliver sound as it was meant to be heard.

“Beoplay H100 elevates what we have accomplished over the past ten decades and defines our future: an era where beautiful sound is built to last. It represents the true potential of what a Bang & Olufsen audio wearable can be, and we cannot wait to bring the headphones to our customers,” says Bang & Olufsen CEO Kristian Teär. “Drawing inspiration from the unparalleled performance of our Beolab speakers, our iconic designs from the past and the modular construction that embraces material excellence and circularity, Beoplay H100 truly embodies our design and innovation capabilities.”

When the headphones are stored in their sleek leather case, they enter a low-power mode, extending their standby time to an impressive 90 days. If placed within the case, the H100 can remain powered off for over a year. This attention to detail, combined with a five-hour playtime after just five minutes of charging, makes the Beoplay H100 a practical choice for users who are always on the move. The headphones are also designed with user-replaceable parts, allowing for easy maintenance of components like the inner headband and earpad cushions. This ensures that the H100 will last well beyond most other wearables, which you’d obviously want from a pair of premium headphones.

The H100 is built on Bang & Olufsen’s new software platform for wearables, ensuring that it remains future-proof with the ability to receive upgrades over time. This means that as new technologies emerge, your Beoplay H100 headphones can evolve with them, making this an investment not just in a product, but in the future of audio.

The Beoplay H100 is available starting September 3, 2024, with a recommended retail price of £1,299 / €1,499 / $1,549 / CAD 2,199 / ¥11,598 CN. These headphones are available in Bang & Olufsen stores and online.

Porsche is Building its First Residential Tower in Bangkok with 22 Luxury Duplex Apartments

A car is simply a room on wheels, right? Or that’s what the oversimplified definition of a car is… by that very standard, all car companies might as well be architecture firms; and it seems like Porsche may be taking that theory rather seriously. The automotive marque has unveiled plans for a residential building in Bangkok, its first in Asia, following previous ventures in Miami, USA and Stuttgart, Germany. This new development is a collaborative effort between Porsche Design (carmaker’s luxury goods sub-brand) and Ananda Development, with the aim of creating an ultra-luxury living experience in the heart of Thailand’s bustling capital. Standing 95 meters tall, the 21-story tower is set to feature 22 exclusive duplex and quadplex apartments, each promising to embody the essence of Porsche’s design philosophy.

Designer: Porsche Design

The tower’s design is as striking as one would expect from a brand synonymous with cutting-edge automotive design. The building’s facade is sleek and modern, with a spiral ramp at its center, reminiscent of the winding roads often navigated by Porsche’s high-performance vehicles. This ramp not only serves as a striking architectural feature but also leads to communal garages within the building, which Porsche has aptly named “passion spaces.” These garages are designed to be more than just parking spaces; they are envisioned as social hubs where residents can display their car collections and interact with fellow automobile enthusiasts.

You wouldn’t expect a company like Porsche to simply build a residential complex without flexing a bit of innovation and engineering, right? Well, arguably one of the most innovative features of the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is its fully automated terrace door system. This system is inspired by the retractable roof mechanism of the Porsche 911 Targa and allows for a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living. The doors fold and hinge open from the top, creating an expansive terrace space that effortlessly extends the living area of each apartment. This feature is not only a nod to Porsche’s heritage but also a practical solution for enhancing the living experience in a tropical climate.

In addition to the unique architectural and design elements, the tower will also offer a range of luxurious amenities. Residents will have access to a 25-meter swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a spa, and both social and business lounges. These amenities are designed to cater to the lifestyle needs of Porsche’s discerning clientele, providing them with spaces to relax, socialize, and conduct business without ever having to leave the building.

The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is set to break ground in early 2025, with completion expected by the end of 2028. This project is part of a growing trend among luxury car brands to expand their influence into the real estate market, offering their customers not just a product, but a complete lifestyle experience. It does fall in line with an overall trend to move away from just mobility and focus on different aspects of life too, like with Tesla and its Powerwall, solar-panel roof tiles, etc.

From Track to Timepiece: Rolex’s Enduring Influence on Motorsport and Automotive Excellence

As a guest of Rolex at the 2024 Concours d’Elegance during Monterey Car Week, I experienced a seamless blend of history and innovation against the picturesque setting of Pebble Beach. The event showcased classic and contemporary automotive art, with Rolex’s influence evident throughout, reflecting their commitment to precision, tradition, and forward-thinking design. From meticulously restored vintage cars to unveiling futuristic designs, the festivities highlighted Rolex’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation. My time there deepened my appreciation for the artistry in automotive design and emphasized Rolex’s role in linking the past, present, and future of motoring. In the following discussion, I’ll explore how Rolex’s legacy continues to shape the world of motorsport and automotive culture, as I experienced firsthand at this year’s memorable festivities.

Designer: Rolex

Rolex: A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Innovation

Rolex embodies luxury, precision, and lasting craftsmanship. Founded by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis in London in 1905, it has evolved into a global icon. Originally known as Wilsdorf & Davis, the company specialized in distributing timepieces before focusing on manufacturing.

Rolex: The first waterproof and dustproof wristwatch by Rolex in 1926.

In 1908, Rolex was registered, and Wilsdorf set out to create elegant and reliable wristwatches. This pursuit led to developing the first waterproof wristwatch, the Rolex Oyster, in 1926. The Oyster case was a groundbreaking innovation, protecting the watch’s movement from dust, moisture, and pressure, ensuring its accuracy even in challenging conditions.

Innovation continued with the introduction of the Perpetual rotor in 1931, the world’s first self-winding mechanism powered by the natural motion of the wrist. This advancement set Rolex apart in the luxury watch market, marking another significant milestone in horology.

Rolex’s drive for precision is evident in its rigorous testing processes. Every Rolex watch undergoes stringent tests for accuracy, water resistance, and endurance, earning the brand its reputation for reliability. Certified as Superlative Chronometers by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), these timepieces highlight Rolex’s dedication to exceptional performance.

Over the decades, Rolex has introduced pioneering innovations that have solidified its reputation in watchmaking. In 1945, Rolex unveiled the Datejust, the first wristwatch to display the date on the dial, marking a significant leap forward in both functionality and design. The Submariner followed in 1953 as the first dive watch to be waterproof to a depth of 100 meters, made possible by the robust Oyster case—a marvel of engineering that ensures the watch’s durability and water resistance under extreme conditions.

Rolex also revolutionized the watch bracelet with the introduction of the Oyster bracelet, known for its strength and comfort, and the Jubilee bracelet, which combines style and flexibility, offering unmatched wearability. In recent years, Rolex introduced the Oysterflex bracelet, a sophisticated combination of flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade covered with high-performance elastomer, providing a new level of comfort without sacrificing durability.

Today, Rolex leads the world of luxury and precision, with each watch representing a blend of cutting-edge technology and timeless design. The brand’s legacy thrives on relentless innovation, uncompromising quality, and an enduring pursuit of perfection.

Rolex’s Timeless Connection with Motorsport

In the 1930s, Sir Malcolm Campbell, the renowned British racing driver known as the “King of Speed,” forged a powerful connection between high-speed racing and precision timekeeping. On Sept. 3, 1935, at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, Campbell made history by becoming the first person to break the 300 mph barrier, reaching 301.13 mph. During this groundbreaking feat, he relied on the Rolex Oyster. This watch demonstrated remarkable resilience and accuracy under extreme conditions, marking the beginning of a lasting bond between motorsport and Rolex.

At the time of Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record-breaking feats, the Rolex Oyster was still establishing its reputation. Campbell’s choice of the Rolex Oyster during his high-speed attempts significantly contributed to proving its reliability. His successes, supported by the watch’s consistent performance during these demanding moments, played a crucial role in forging Rolex’s longstanding association with motorsport. This partnership began a deep connection between Rolex and the world of speed, precision, and endurance.

In 1959, Rolex became the official timekeeper for the newly established Daytona International Speedway, cementing its role in motorsport. This partnership eventually led to the creation of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph in 1963, later famously known as the ‘Daytona.’ The watch was designed specifically for racing drivers, featuring a tachymetric scale on the bezel that allowed drivers to measure average speed over a specific distance—a crucial function in motorsports.

The Daytona’s design and functionality made it a legend in the racing world, and its connection to the speedway secured Rolex’s place in motorsport history. The watch became an icon cherished by racing enthusiasts and collectors. Over the years, Rolex’s involvement in motorsport deepened, particularly in endurance racing.

The Rolex 24 at Daytona is a grueling 24-hour endurance race that pushes drivers and machines to their limits. In 1992, Rolex became the title sponsor, reinforcing its commitment to precision and performance. This race demands unwavering focus and high-speed consistency, with drivers rotating through shifts to keep their cars moving. The parallels between this endurance and the reliability expected from Rolex watches are clear—both are engineered to perform under pressure, whether on the track or in daily life, reflecting the brand’s dedication to durability and precision.

Endurance races like the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans challenge drivers and vehicles alike, requiring intense stamina and flawless reliability. These events demand high performance from every component, with drivers battling fatigue and maintaining focus under extreme conditions. Similarly, Rolex mechanical watches are designed to endure, keeping precise time through years of use and the rigors of daily wear. This shared commitment to enduring performance solidifies Rolex’s role in motorsport, where reliability is paramount.

Rolex expanded its involvement in endurance racing further in 2001 when it became the Official Timepiece of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the world’s most famous and challenging races. The winners of Le Mans receive a specially engraved Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, a highly coveted prize that symbolizes both endurance and excellence.

In 2016, Rolex became the Official Timepiece of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), strengthening its role in endurance racing. This partnership reflects Rolex’s support for the evolution of endurance racing and its focus on technological innovation, a value shared by the WEC.

Rolex’s Enduring Influence at Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

Monterey Car Week traces its roots to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which debuted in 1950 alongside the Pebble Beach Road Race. From modest beginnings, it has grown into the world’s most prestigious gathering of automotive artistry, attracting premier collectors, fans, and enthusiasts globally. This event honors and preserves automotive heritage, showcasing vehicles that illustrate the highest standards of design and engineering. This year, the coveted Best in Show winner receives the new Rolex 1908, a timepiece that reflects both the event’s tradition and Rolex’s enduring dedication to quality and innovation.

Image: Rolex

In 1997, Rolex became the official timepiece of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, establishing a partnership that bridges the worlds of watchmaking and automotive history. Rolex’s involvement extends to other hallmark events, such as The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.

Meanwhile, historic race cars are brought back to life on the track at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Rolex underscores the importance of authenticity and the preservation of motorsport history.

Hurley Haywood is regarded as one of the most accomplished endurance racers in history. His illustrious career includes five overall victories at the Rolex 24 at Daytona (1973, 1975, 1977, 1979, and 1991), showcasing his dominance in one of motorsport’s most grueling endurance races. In addition to his successes at Daytona, Haywood also claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times (1977, 1983, and 1994), and he won the 12 Hours of Sebring twice (1973 and 1981).

Hurley Haywood at the Corkscrew of Laguna Seca

Hurley Haywood’s legendary racing career, marked by numerous victories, makes him the perfect namesake for the Hurley Haywood Trophy at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. This award honors drivers who embody Haywood’s skill and dedication, aligning with Rolex’s values of precision and performance. As a Rolex Testimonee, Haywood’s association reinforces Rolex’s commitment to motorsport excellence. Beyond his personal achievements, Haywood has mentored the next generation of drivers, sharing his knowledge and passion. The Hurley Haywood Trophy celebrates his legacy and the broader history of motorsport, further solidifying the deep connection between Rolex and the racing community.

Wrapping Up

Rolex’s presence in motorsport and classic cars goes beyond the surface, symbolizing a deep-seated commitment to precision and excellence. The brand has become synonymous with achievement and timeless craftsmanship, from its early partnership with legendary drivers to its pivotal role in events like the Rolex 24 at Daytona and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. By maintaining a balance between innovation and tradition, Rolex upholds its reputation across generations. Whether on a driver’s wrist or marking time at a prestigious event, Rolex stands as a lasting emblem of dedication to the highest standards.

Rolex Perpetual 1908: The 2024 Platinum Model with Ice Blue Dial

The Rolex Perpetual 1908 brings a fresh perspective to the brand’s tradition of dress watches. Since its founding in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf, Rolex has been a hallmark of precision, innovation, and elegance in watchmaking. The Perpetual 1908 continues this legacy, merging classic elements with modern sophistication. The latest model for 2024 introduces new materials and design refinements, ensuring it remains at the forefront of luxury timepieces.

Designer: Rolex

This model captures Rolex’s original boldness. Since the brand’s inception, Rolex has pursued Wilsdorf’s vision of wristwatches as high-performance instruments. This watch combines chronometric precision, waterproofness, autonomy, comfort, and durability. It embodies the classic yet modern spirit of the original Oyster Perpetual watches, with a silhouette and dial design that reimagines these timeless elements.

Initially available in 18-karat yellow gold and white gold, paired with either an intense white or matte black dial, the latest update introduces a new 950 platinum version. This version features an ice blue dial exclusive to Rolex watches in this prestigious metal. The case measures 39 mm, balancing presence and comfort on the wrist. The bezel combines domed and fluted design, adding elegance without ostentation. The transparent case back reveals the intricate workings of the movement, showcasing the brand’s commitment to aesthetics and performance.

The dials for the Perpetual 1908 include intense white, matte black, and now an ice blue with a guilloche rice-grain motif. This intricate pattern is created through traditional guillochage, reflecting light beautifully. The dial features Arabic numerals at 3, 9, and 12, with faceted index hour markers in 18-karat gold. The small seconds counter at 6 o’clock is centered within the rice-grain motif, enhancing the dial’s sophisticated look.

The hands are distinctive, with the minute hand shaped like a two-edged sword and the hour hand featuring a pierced circle. These elements blend historical inspiration with modern elegance, maintaining the watch’s refined aesthetic.

At the heart of the Perpetual 1908 is the caliber 7140, a self-winding movement developed in-house by Rolex’s watchmaking engineers. This movement drives the hands of the central hours and minutes and the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock. It incorporates several of Rolex’s cutting-edge technologies, including the Syloxi silicon hairspring and the Chronergy escapement made of a nickel-phosphorus alloy, both resistant to strong magnetic fields. The movement also features Paraflex shock absorbers, protecting the oscillator and escape wheel from shocks. With a power reserve of 66 hours, the caliber 7140 combines performance and elegance. Patents have been filed for this movement, entirely developed and manufactured in-house.

The 2024 model features an ice blue dial decorated with a rice-grain motif, achieved through guillochage. This rosette-like design, centered on the small seconds counter at 6 o’clock, gives the watch exceptional personality and is a tribute to traditional watchmaking infused with Rolex’s know-how and creativity.

The 950 platinum case, a rare and precious material, is striking for its incomparable radiance and silvery white glow. Considered the noblest of metals, it is noted for its exceptional corrosion resistance. The case has gracious lines and a transparent back that allows the refined aesthetics of the movement and the pivoting of the oscillating weight to be admired.

By offering a watch that reveals its movement through a transparent case back, Rolex continues to innovate while echoing its watchmaking tradition. The caliber 7140 features a cut-out oscillating weight in yellow gold with three arms engraved with the words “Chronometer Perpetual” and benefits from an optimized ball bearing. The movement boasts remarkable finishes, including the exclusive Rolex Côtes de Genève, a celebrated traditional watch decoration reinterpreted with a polished groove between each band. The sapphire window, virtually scratchproof, proves that for Rolex, the aesthetics of the movement are as important as its performance.

Introducing the Perpetual 1908 signifies a new direction for Rolex dress watches, blending the brand’s rich heritage with modern innovation. By launching the Perpetual collection and retiring the Cellini line, Rolex reaffirms its commitment to creating technically superior and timelessly elegant timepieces. This model sets a new standard for dress watches, combining historical elements with contemporary design and cutting-edge technology.

Future Rolex dress watches will continue to explore the balance between classic aesthetics and modern advancements. The transparent case back, showcasing the movement, indicates a willingness to innovate while honoring traditional watchmaking artistry. The movement’s use of advanced materials and technologies highlights Rolex’s dedication to performance and durability.

The Perpetual 1908 captures the essence of Rolex’s pursuit of excellence, blending past and future in a luxurious timepiece that speaks to the brand’s storied history and its vision for the future of dress watches.

The dashboard-like display nods to the car’s interior, blending horological expertise with automotive design. The flying tourbillon, with its rapid 30-second rotation, adds a dynamic visual element. Meanwhile, the retrograde indicators echo the instrumentation found in Bugatti’s hypercars, making the watch as engaging to look at as it is to wear.

Lottery-inspired Alarm Clock gives you rewards for taking the effort to seize the day

Most of us generally use smartphones to set alarms without realizing that these little radiation mongers by the bedside are messing up our sleep patterns. It is better to leave the phones at a comfortable distance from the bed. But how do you wake up the lazy sleeper then? Well, invest in an alarm clock that can become your best pal to start off the day with a purpose.

If you have an agenda, a schedule, or a defined routine after the alarm goes off, you’re set and probably doing well for yourself. For the others – who are aimless waking up every morning, with no set routine to follow – the snooze button on the phone or clock is the favorite choice. The Fortune Clock arrives without the snooze option, rather a purpose-defined wakeup activity that goes a long way beyond just waking you up with something to do.

Designer: Ho Hyun LIM

When out in the market for an alarm clock, you look for the nightlight option, volume levels, and of course the snooze button. For the Fortune Clock, you might have to have a different mindset: An outlook to look at your fortune based on how you get up in the morning.

Sounds interesting? It well is! The clock with a digital display on the front quarter – featuring time and day – has an interesting wheel of fortune just below. The idea is to fill the clock from the top with balls. When you wake up in the morning to turn off the alarm (by pressing the button on top) a ball with a number is released (this happens every day) and appears in the groves cut out on the front.

While the idea of the clock is to get the user into the habit of making an effort to get up to stop the alarm and put the ball rolling (not literally); the designer believes, the numbered balls are fortune tellers as well. User can, Ho believes, combine the numbers on the balls obtained from this effort of getting up, to purchase lottery tickets, to seize their luck. How much numerology magic the clock does is for you to understand, but these hard-earned numbers will definitely make a difference to your sleep cycle and waking-up routine.

Pininfarina Unveils Limited Edition Oksýs Chaise Longue: Merging Automotive Design with Luxury Furniture

Legendary Italian design house Pininfarina, famed for its historic decades-long collaboration with Ferrari, has unveiled its debut piece of collectible furniture – the Oksýs chaise longue. This unique creation seamlessly blends the company’s automotive design heritage with the functionality of a high-end chaise lounge. The Oksýs is a limited-edition statement piece designed to complement Pininfarina’s recent foray into branded residential projects. The chaise longue embodies the studio’s core design principles, which center on the harmonious marriage of aesthetics and technical innovation.

Designer: Pininfarina

The Oksýs is a striking visual interplay of contrasting elements. The upper section features smooth, ergonomic lines reminiscent of a Pininfarina sports car. This section is crafted for comfort and boasts a reflective finish that invites touch. In stark contrast, the lower portion resembles a rough, crystal-like rock, creating a sense of groundedness.

“Seen from above, Oksýs is smooth and reflects light with no aggressive angles,” explains Marco Becucci, the in-house architect who designed the chaise longue. “This upper part invites the user to touch it, while the lower section offers a textural counterpoint, left coarse and milled to resemble an untouched rock.”

The design and development process for the Oksýs mirrored Pininfarina’s approach to creating high-performance automobiles. The project began with sketches, followed by ergonomic testing, computer-aided modeling, and finally, the creation of physical models using CNC milling to achieve the complex form.

The prototype showcased at Milan Design Week was crafted from polyurethane and finished with a gleaming epoxy resin, creating a captivating metallic effect. Pininfarina envisions future iterations cast entirely in steel or aluminum, further solidifying the connection to its automotive roots. Only three Oksýs chaise longues will be produced, each sold exclusively through the Rossana Orlandi gallery.

Batman-inspired Maverick GT Stormy Knight redefines luxury and sustainable maritime adventures

Wayne Enterprises and T3MP3ST have one more reason for Batman fans to go on a spending spree if they like exploring the waters. This is the Maverick GT Stormy Knight electric exploration vehicle developed by the two companies for the filthy rich. That’s because the eco-friendly boat is priced at $250,000. According to makers, “it is a first-of-its-kind, ultra-luxury commerce environment that immerses you in the world of DC’s Bruce Wayne, the billionaire civilian persona of The Batman.”

The limited-edition watercraft is a balanced iteration of luxury and high-end technology for the best experience venturing out in the waters. Only 27 units of this vessel will be created by T3MP3ST who have been redefining nautical adventures with innovative Electric Exploration Vehicles designed for the government agencies and the elite.

Designer: T3MP3ST and Wayne Enterprises

The 4-meter power boat is designed out of carbon fiber and stainless steel to optimize performance without harming the environment. The use of these materials keeps the total weight down to 1,300 pounds. The power comes from a 100 kWh modular battery that’s mated to a 350 hp electric motor. This enables it to reach speeds of more than 85 mph and have a range of 75 miles on a single full charge. That roughly equates to around six hours of runtime. The watercraft is loaded with an autonomous navigation system that has Garmin’s advanced GPS and voice command integration compatible with iOS and Apple Watch.

This EEV comes with high-grade customization to suit the needs of demanding buyers. It is crafted for a four-seat configuration just like a jet-ski, keeping in mind Batman and Robin would hop onto the ride whenever criminals decide to fox the authorities by taking the water route. Plus there’s space for two more to add to the fighting power. If buyers want to have more seating space, the company is also offering a larger version with a 30-foot RIB hull that can ferry 8 passengers. Top speeds on this one are considerably lower at 40 knots but it can cruise for eight hours on a single charge.

Those interested in buying the Maverick GT Stormy Knight luxury boat can head over to the BruceWayneX website for pre-order, or mark their calendars to visit the Wayne Enterprises Experience in New York City from June 3 to 10.
