Alors qu'il est aujourd'hui réputé pour des films de super-héros comme Les Gardiens de la Galaxie ou Superman, James Gunn n'a pas une carrière remplie de chefs d'oeuvre ! Malgré un duo d’acteurs séduisant, ce film restera surtout comme un naufrage critique et artistique. Conçu à l’origine comme un drame engagé et métaphysique, le film a été remanié par les studios en un thriller policier maladroit, provoquant la colère de son réalisateur qui s’est désolidarisé du projet....
